Orlando Bingles’ Western Adventure: Day 5

by Bingle on Jun.06, 2008, under Richard Bingle Family

Today we visited Karen’s 99 year old grandmother in Phoenix. Her church is throwing her a shindig for her 100th birthday next month, but we figured it would be nicer for us and for her if we visited her a couple of weeks beforehand. That way we would get more time with her and it would seem more special for everyone.

Out On A Limb

We spent a couple of hours chatting and even recreated a photo that Karen had taken of the girls climbing in one of Great Grandma Warmann’s grapefruit trees during their last visit. Alyssa had picked up a bit of a cold and was self conscious about giving it to her great grandma, but by the end of our visit she was willing to give her a hug.

We didn’t want to wear her out too much and we had several hours of driving to do before our next destination so we said our goodbyes in the late afternoon and headed out.

Next stop, Lake Havasu!
